Premium Package in detail

In the case of a current account, you receive:

  • Free monthly i-statements detailing all account transactions via Internet Banking.
  • Free quarterly statements sent to your contact address.
  • Free monthly statements sent to your NBG branch or your contact address, subject to charges, currently €0.90 per month.
  • Daily statements issued at the branch regularly, currently charged at €15 per month.

You can carry out your everyday transactions via NBG branches and i-bank channels.

  • Cash withdrawals: At NBG branches and i-bank ATMs using your debit card.
  • Deposits: At NBG branches and Automated Payment Systems, as well as i-bank ATMs.
  • Payments and money transfers: pay your bills and settle your financial obligations easily and instantly by directly debiting your account at NBG branches and via i-bank Internet, Phone, Mobile Banking, and ΑΤΜs.
  • In the case of a current account, you can apply for a checkbook at your NBG branch or via our i-bank Internet and Phone Banking service.
  • A free annual check-up that includes a General Blood Test, Glucose, Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and Atherogenic index.
  • Laboratory screening tests once for each year you are insured. The tests concern men above 45 years old (free PSA) and women above 45 years old (digital mammography with the participation of the insured at € 5.00). For these examinations, the submission of a medical referral is not required.
  • Additional benefits offered by partner diagnostic centers at a special discount.

In order to have the above coverages, the following conditions apply:

  • The principal beneficiary must be an adult over the age of 18 and a permanent resident of Greece.
  • The insurance program's commencement date is the date that the deposit account was opened. The program is not available independently and, therefore, in case the first beneficiary does not want this program, they have to choose another type of bank account.
  • The free annual check-up and any additional benefits can be carried out after the lapse of 180 days of the insurance start date. The restriction exists only for the first year of insurance.


The insurance plans are designed by Ethniki General Insurance and sold through the branch network of National Bank of Greece S.A., Aiolou 86, 102 32 Athens, Company Reg. No.: 311481 Athens. Insurance plans are sold only by Bank staff who are certified insurance intermediaries. The Bank is registered as an insurance agent with the Special Registry of the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen under No. 1028. The Special Registry's data are available through the online platform "Point of Single Contact (ESIP)" of Active Insurance Intermediaries, via which you can verify the registration with the Special Registry, http://insuranceregistry.uhc.gr/.

Specifically, you can:

  • Apply for approval of an overdraft limit and get a 10% discount on the applicable interest rate.

What supporting documents do I need?

  • Identity card or passport
    Your ID card or passport must be valid. Tell me more
  • Proof of current home address
    This can be a recent utility bill or other document evidencing your home address.
  • Income Tax Clearance Certificate
    The income tax slip clearance certificate of the last two years.
  • Phone bill
    A recent landline telephone bill from your service provider.
