You can open a new current, savings, e-Value or Value Plus account quickly and easily on your computer, tablet, or phone.

Open a new account with an easy process

You just need to have Digital Banking credentials to open up to 6 new accounts, without visiting a Branch. Additionally, you can also issue a Mastercard debit card.

Online account opening in a few steps

User login

If you are a registered user, log in to Digital Banking and from the home page go to the "Accounts" section and select "Get a new account". You will not need to submit supporting documents during the online process, but it is necessary that your details are up to date. You can update them through eGov-KYC or your profile.

Account selection

Next, you choose the type of account between e-Value, Value Plus, Simple Current and Simple Savings.

Terms acceptance

You are then informed and you accept the terms of the product. For the e-Value and Value Plus accounts you may choose between a monthly or annual subscription depending on the privileges you desire. In addition to selecting the account, if you don't already own one, you can get a debit card and then sign up for the Go For More program.

OTP input

Now, you confirm your personal information and enter the OTP to complete the process.

Completion

Finally, after the transaction is completed, you can print the receipt.

How many accounts can I open online?

You can open up to 6 accounts in total. The accounts you can open through Digital Banking are: current, savings, e-Value, and Value plus.

Can I open a joint bank account through Digital Banking?

At the moment you can open a joint account only by visiting an NBG branch.

What documents do I need to open an online account?

To open an account you need to have your bank details up to date (identity card, contact phone number, VAT number, financial-transaction profile, profession). If they are not up to date, you can update them through your profile.
