The Compliance and Corporate Governance Operation of NBG and of the group, being a principal advisor and partner of NBG’s Business Units, plays a crucial role, by continuously providing support and guidance, pertaining to both the Bank’s response to the ever-changing business environment, as well as to the initiatives that are being undertaken aiming at the development of the Bank. Furthermore, the Operation constantly monitors every development with respect to the regulatory framework and the international best practices, in order to incorporate them seamlessly in NBG’s policies and practices, aiming to prevent and manage any compliance risks and to cultivate a compliance culture throughout the Organization.

In this context, the ultimate goal of NBG's Compliance and Corporate Governance Operation is to achieve a holistic alignment between business goals and compliance requirements, both at an NBG and group level. U.S. FATCA – Tax Residency Self-Certification Forms

In compliance with the current Greek legislation (Greek Law 4493/2017) on improvement of international tax compliance and the implementation of the U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), NATIONAL BANK OF GREECE is obliged to identify and to report, through the Hellenic Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), specific information related to accounts and investment products of its customers specified as “US Persons” (i.e., natural persons who are citizens or residents of the USA; or legal entities organized or incorporated in the U.S.), to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Based on the above, if you are a "US Person", please complete the following FATCA Certification Form and either upload it electronically through the available contact form on NBG's website (https://www.nbg.gr/en/footer/contact-us) by following the relevant steps, or submit it in person, by priorly making an appointment, to any NBG Network Branch.

If you are not a "US Person", please complete the appropriate FATCA Certification Form below and, along with the appropriate confirmation document (e.g. Certificate of Loss of US Citizenship, Certificate of Tax Residency etc.), either upload it electronically through the available contact form on NBG's website ((https://www.nbg.gr/en/footer/contact-us) by following the relevant steps, or submit it in person, by priorly making an appointment, to any NBG Network Branch.

Υour immediate response ensures the correctness and completeness of the tax data and information concerning you, with the aim of the smooth operation of your maintained account(s) and the continuation of your transactional and business relationship with NBG, as well as avoiding any penalties in accordance with case b of par. 1 of article 59 of the Greek Tax Code (L.5104/2024).

CRS/DAC 2 - Tax Residency Self-Certification Forms

In compliance with the Greek legislation in force and the European and International regulatory framework on mandatory automatic exchange of information for tax matters, NATIONAL BANK OF GREECE is required to identify and report to the competent Greek Tax Authority, the Independent Public Revenue Authority (A.A.D.E.), specific information on clients' accounts and investment products whose tax residence is in a country that participates in the process of automatic exchange of financial account information for tax matters (CRS/DAC2 participating jurisdiction).

As per the above, please fill in the appropriate Self-Certification Form that can be found bellow and either upload it electronically through the available contact form on NBG's website ((https://www.nbg.gr/en/footer/contact-us) by following the relevant steps, or submit it in person, by priorly making an appointment, to any NBG Network Branch.
