How can I activate my card?

You can activate your card when you make your first transaction at an NBG ATM, by selecting "Card Activation" from the menu. For more information, we recommend that you watch the tutorial video we created for you.

Do I have the option not to use the contactless functionality of my card without using a pin?

You can either reset or restore the applicable limit of contactless transactions carried out without the use of a pin, either through the Internet & Mobile Banking applications, as long as you are a registered user, or by submitting a request to his or her NBG Branch or by calling the Bank’s Contact Center.

Where can I use my card?

You can use your prepaid card all over the world for whatever you want to buy 24/7. You can also make:

Additional transactions, like booking a hotel, renting a car, paying taxes, setting up standing orders, placing phone and mail orders.
Online purchases at any store accepting VISA.
Transactions (such as cash withdrawals etc.) at any ATM in Greece and abroad.

We would like to inform you that as of 11/1/2024, the National Bank, in compliance with the current regulatory provisions (Law 4557/2018 as amended), is adjusting the limits and certain features of its prepaid cards.
