NBG’s i-bank services provide solutions designed for businesses through its ATM network.

When you use NBG i-bank ATM services, you have access to a wide range of  transactions, 24/7, using NBG issued cards (*):

  • Information: about your bank accounts and credit cards
  • Transactions: withdrawals/deposits, money transfers, payments of various bills with public utilities and other companies etc.

The transactions available depend on the type of card you’re using.

Our i-bank ATM solutions offer the following benefits:

i-bank ATM network provides banking solutions for instant and secure satisfaction of your information and transactional needs, adjusted to the specific conditions and requirements of your business.

  • Transactions with ETHNOCASH PLUS BUSINESS

    ETHNOCASH PLUS BUSINESS enables you to carry out a wide range of transactions, including:

    - access to account information (account balance, last 7 transactions)
    - cash withdrawals
    - deposit of cash and cheques
    - money transfers /remittances (to your own or third-party accounts with NBG and to immigrants’ home countries)
    - NBG payments (for your own or others’ NBG-issued credit cards, insurance premiums)
    - payments of VAT, contributions to pension funds
    - payment of various bills (public utilities, landline and mobile phones etc.)
    - airtime renewal (prepaid schemes) for mobile telephony.
  • Transactions with BusinessCard MasterCard

    BusinessCard MasterCard enables you to access the following services via the NBG i-bank ATM network:

    - cash withdrawal
    - account activity (credit card details and last 7 transactions)
    - payment of credit card dues in cash (without needing to supply the PIN)
    - payment of Multichoice, Vodafone, Unicef bills
    - purchase of Vodafone and WIND mobile phone airtime, and
    - change of your PIN.
  • Transactions with ETHNOdeposit

    ETHNOdeposit card enables you to make cash deposits. The card is designed for businesses that use dealers and collectors in Greece who need to make direct deposits of daily collections via the NBG i-bank ATM network.

Most transactions via the NBG i-bank ATM network using NBG-issued cards are free of charge. Those few transactions which do incur a charge are normally significantly cheaper than when performed at the Bank’s counters.

When you use NBG’s i-bank ATM network, we provide you with top-level protection in your banking activity, thanks to our cutting-edge transaction security technology:  

  • Activity and transactions via the i-bank ATM network are monitored on an ongoing basis by our special ATM Fraud Detection System.
  • Transactions require the use of a PIN, which is unique, strictly private and not to be disclosed to any third party.
  • You can set or change your daily transaction limit using your ETHNOCASH PLUS BUSINESS card.
  • For your own security, if the wrong PIN is entered 5 consecutive times, the card is temporarily blocked.
  • If your card is lost or stolen, call our Contact Center immediately at 181818 from Greece or +30 210 4848484 from abroad, on a 24/7 basis, and your card will be blocked on the spot.  


Don’t forget: You, too, are responsible for your transaction security:    

  • Keep your PIN secret by all means.
  • Never keep your card and PIN together.
  • Learn your PIN by heart, and never store it in a place where it might be associated with your card.
  • Change your PIN frequently.
  • Never disclose your PIN to anyone, including persons claiming to be NBG staff. Note that genuine staff of NBG will never ask you for your PIN.
  • Keep the number of our Contact Center handy so that you can report any incident concerning your card or transaction (181818 from Greece or +30 210 4848484 from abroad).


In addition, when you use one of our ATMs:

  • When you type your PIN, conceal what you are typing with your other hand.
  • Never accept assistance from any third party.
  • Once you have finished your transaction, check that the card ejected by the machine is in fact yours.
  • Make sure the next person queuing to use the ATM after you is at a safe distance.
  • If your card is retained by the machine, call our Contact Center immediately at 181818 from Greece or +30 210 4848484  from abroad to report the incident.
  • Information & Declaration of  Loss

    Our automatic Contact Center is available on a 24/7 basis. You can call:

    You’ll hear the services menu, through which you can navigate by simple voice prompts. Say:

    - “Loss” to report theft or loss of your card.
    - “Agent” for our agent to give you information on any other question you may have.

    The cost of the call depends on the pricing policy of your phone network provider.

  • Changing company details

    If there is any change in your company’s details (e.g., address, contact info), you should notify your NBG Branch immediately.

    You can find out about the documentation you may need to present to verify your company details by:

    - consulting our information leaflet "Have you introduced yourself? If not, do it now" or
    - by speaking with one of our representatives at our Contact  Center, at 181818 if you’re calling from a landline or cell-phone in Greece, or at +30 210 48 48 484 if calling from abroad. The cost of the call depends on the pricing policy of your phone network provider.
