Issuing an ergosimo voucher is easier than ever

All you need is Internet Banking codes for your business, and then you'll be able to issue an ergosimo voucher for your employees easily, quickly and safely. The amount will automatically be credited to the employee's account.

Issuance and payment

With the issuance of an ergosimo voucher and its redemption by your employees, they are paid without need for further action on your part, as the ergosimo voucher replaces all related money transactions.

Rendering insurance

By issuing an ergosimo voucher you ensure that insurance contributions are paid to the employee's insurance body, with part of the voucher’s amount being withheld precisely for that purpose.

Receiving two copies

You will receive two copies of the ergosimo voucher. One is kept by you as a payment receipt and the other is given to the employee as proof of employment or means of redemption.

You can issue an ergosimo voucher if you' are an employer (a natural person or legal entity accepting labor/work or services). You can also authorize someone else to do so for you. In addition, an ergosimo voucher can also be issued by a third party on the employer’s behalf, if he/she can provide all the required details (AMKA national health insurance number, TIN etc.) of both the employer and the employee. Note that the term “obligor” is used to refer to the instance of failure to issue an ergosimo voucher, so the recipient of its claim pursues repayment from the employer, i.e. the obligor.

For EFKA/former OGA, the type of labor/work that can be compensated is that of the farm laborer.  

For EFKA/former IKA ETAM the types of labor/work compensated through ergosimo vouchers include:

  • Domestic work 
  • Horticultural work 
  • Handyman, non-building works 
  • Private tutoring at home 
  • Child care/transportation 
  • Care for persons in need 
  • Employees at Supported Living Homes/Institutions for mentally challenged persons 
  • Beauticians/Hairdressers 
  • Nursing care 
  • Physiotherapy/Out-of-home escorting 
  • Cleaning and gardening services in communal areas of apartment buildings 
  • Pamphlet distributors 
  • Cosmetics/skin-care product sales at home or elsewhere 
  • Consumer product sales in department stores 
  • Staff employed in Hellenic Soccer Associations (PAE), Hellenic Basketball Associations (KAE), people working for non-professional sports associations 
  • Personal helpers/summer camp helpers for people with disabilities 
  • Referees, assistant referees and referee observers at professional sports events  
  • Extras in TV shows or film or advertisement productions  
  • Persons working in musical entertainment for private events and receptions who are not employed as regular staff or members of a firm. 
25% for IKA, 10% for OGA.
4 months as of its date of issue. After 4 months have passed, it cannot be redeemed by the employee.

You can issue an ergosimo voucher:  

  • By visiting a branch, paying with cash or by debiting your account, either in the name of the employee or by crediting his/her NBG account. 
  • Through Internet Banking, by debiting your account and crediting the employee's NBG account.
After its date of expiry, an ergosimo voucher is automatically cancelled and cannot be used by either the employer or the employee.  
In this case its amount is credited by the bank to the EFKA insurance body selected on the ergosimo voucher.  

Ergosimo vouchers that have NOT been used by the employer (and that do not bear a name) can be cancelled within 3 months of their date of issue. 

Ergosimo vouchers that have been issued via Internet Banking, since they are credited instantly to the account of the employee, cannot be cancelled. 

Ergosimo vouchers that have been redeemed in a branch, whether issued and credited to the employee's account or issued in the name of the employee and redeemed by him/her on another day, can be cancelled only on the day of redemption.
