If you are entitled to Basic and Green Agricultural Aid, you can obtain the Agro-carta product to cover your needs arising from your agricultural and livestock farming activities.

You can pre-collect Basic and Green Agricultural Aid to cover your needs from your agricultural and livestock activities quickly and safely.

Specifically, you can:

  • Benefit from 80% of the total Basic & Green Aid to which you are entitled
  • Save time with contactless transactions
  • Do your shopping online
  • Pay your bills and insurance contributions
  • Withdraw up to 10% of your approved funding limit in cash
  • Manage and monitor your card and account transactions through the Internet and Mobile banking applications

Agro-carta is the property of the National Bank of Greece and is issued under the terms and conditions agreed with the Ministry of Rural Development & Food.

The product at a glance

Purpose of funding

You have the option to pre-collect a significant part of the Basic and Green Agricultural Aid you are entitled to, in the form of an overdraft from a Current Account for Agricultural Aid linked to the Agro-carta, to immediately cover the needs arising from your agricultural and livestock farming operations.

Amount of funding

80% of the total Basic and Green Farm Payment you are entitled to each year to meet your needs during the production process.

Method of repayment

Repayment of the financial limit is made with the agricultural aid credits in the Special Purpose Current Account "Agricultural Aid," with full repayment of the capital. You may also deposit any other amount you wish to repay the debit balance. The interest period is six months, and interest is charged on December 31 and June 30 each year.

You can either reset or restore the applicable limit of contactless transactions carried out without the use of a pin, either through the Internet & Mobile Banking applications, as long as you are a registered user, or by submitting a request to his or her NBG Branch or by calling the Bank’s Contact Center.

 

It is a combination of three banking products:

  • current deposit account AGRICULTURAL GRANTS
  • overdraft limit granted through the aforementioned account
  • Debit MasterCard Debit Card linked to the aforementioned account

With Agro-carta through your linked account, you can carry out specific transactions made through cash points in branches, alternative networks (i-bank ATM, Internet Banking), and the Direct Debit System.

More specifically, you can:

  • Repay your debts to ELGA, OGA, EFKA, KEAEO, the State, electricity providers, TOEBs that cooperate with NBG, water supply, and sewerage companies.
  • Pay the costs of issuing and using an employer's stamp.
  • Repay traffic fees.
  • Pay the cost of an Agricultural Aid Application.  
  • Repay debts to the Entities/Gateways for the submission of Single Payment Applications to OPEKEPE
  • Make purchases via EFT/POS and e-Commerce, raw materials, fertilizers, seeds, feed, etc.
  • Supply fuel and maintain or repair machinery via EFT/POS

You will need your identity card or passport, your latest tax statement, and a copy of your single farm return or single payment application. Please submit the application at one of our branches. Before visiting the branch, contact the branch to receive information about any additional necessary documents.

The period of time until the payment of the Basic and Green Aid (paid on an annual basis) is less than one calendar year.

The first step is to visit a branch to get information, provide the necessary documents, open an account and submit your application.
Step 2: We assess your application
We check the supporting documents and evaluate your application.
Step 3: We disburse your funding
If your application is approved, you will need to visit the branch where you hold your account to sign the relevant contract and create a debit balance in your Agricultural Aid current account.
