NBG participates in GRNET event
As part of NBG's efforts to strengthen Greek innovation through our global synergies, we were delighted to accept the invitation of GRNET to participate in the CivTech Alliance Scale-up Safari event and speak about NBG Business Seeds.
The event was organized as part of GRNET's participation in the Global Scale-Up Program (GSUP) of the CivTech Alliance, as well as within its role as coordinator of the European Digital Innovation Hub GR digiGOVinnoHUB.
15 innovative companies presented their technological expertise and know-how to public administration and local government officials, organizations that promote innovation (universities, research centers, etc.), technology suppliers and investment funds that focus on technology.
The CivTech Alliance is a global network of mostly public organizations from 17 countries worldwide, is coordinated by the Scottish Government, and focuses on the digital transformation of the State and tackling global challenges. Essentially, this "Alliance" focuses on the diplomacy of innovation, seeking to strengthen relations between states through new ideas and technology, so that they can then offer state-of-the-art services to their citizens.
In the frame of the CivTech Alliance, the Global Scale-Up Program (GSUP) — an intergovernmental collaboration between 7 governments and 3 NGOs from 9 countries — is taking place. Its purpose is to address global challenges, strengthening innovative scale-up businesses engaged in sustainability.
