It is with great pleasure that we announce the launch of NBG Business Sees' 16th Innovation & Technology Competition, commencing Tuesday 8 July 2025.
This is the longest-running Innovation Competition run by a Greek organization, in which 8,707 participants have already participated.
The purpose of the Competition is to highlight and reward original ideas, research results, business plans and firms that offer innovative solutions to cutting-edge tech issues.
The thematic areas of this year’s competition are:
• Fintech
• Digital Ecosystems, including Proptech
• Advanced Technologies & AI
• Environment/Climate Change, Environment, Society & Governance (ESG), including Financial Literacy & Financial Empowerment.
Participants in the competition are invited to update, networking and mentoring actions by experienced NBG executives and partners of the program: KEMEL, the Archimedes Center of NKUoA, the Onassis Foundation, the National Documentation Centre, HIGGS, OK!Thess, CapsuleT, Bayer Greece, Mastercard, NBG Pay and 45 more bodies and organizations.
In the context of the Competition, the first three (3) proposals receive cash prizes of €20,000, €12,000, €8,000 respectively, after evaluation by University Professors and NBG executives. In addition to the prizes of the main Competition, we are launching a new Special Prize category for proposals and solutions in Prop Tech, in the amount of €4,000, in collaboration with Uniko and continue with prizes of up to five Special Financial Empowerment Awards totalling up to €10,000, to empower households in their financial decisions, in the context of the ENNOIA initiative.
The first ten winning teams receive significant publicity and mentoring by the Bank's team. In the case of shortlisted proposals, the potential for partnership with the Bank, use of their products and services, and participation by NBG in their share capital are all explored.
