Georgios Armelinios
Assistant General Manager - Human Resources
George Armelinios is the Assistant General Manager of NBG Human Resources.
Previously, he served the Bank as the Director of the NBG Group HR Division for 3 years from March 2017.
In years 2009 -2017 he served as the Head of Group Securities Services, a Division primarily responsible for the post investment transactions and custody services of Greek and Foreign institutional customers. In 2002, he contributed towards the setup and development of the NBG Private Banking Division, to which he was appointed as a Deputy Head.
Between 1992- 2002, he served in the Group Internal Audit Division, specializing in audits of foreign NBG subsidiaries and branches across USA, Canada, South Africa and Europe (England, Germany, France, Netherlands, etc.). In years 1979 - 1992, his responsibilities lied in the field of shipping companies financing, as a Senior Loan Officer and Loan Officer of the Bank.
For a number of years, he served as a Board Member of two NBG subsidiaries, namely EKETE AE and NBG Asset Management AEDAK, and a member of the Securitization Committee of the Hellenic Bank Association.
George holds a University degree in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business Sciences and has successfully completed the Inter- Alpha Banking Programme of the INSEAD Business School. He is married and has a son and a daughter.
