She started her career in the banking sector in 1990 at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, in the Bank Supervision Group. Upon her return to Greece, she joined KPMG as a Senior Consultant and then moved to National Westminster Bank in Athens where she was responsible for lending to public sector companies and sovereign debt. In 1999, she joined Alpha Bank and held several positions of increasing seniority in the areas of Corporate Banking, Project Finance and Real Estate Finance, becoming Head of Structured Finance in 2014. In 2018 she was appointed Executive Director and Member of the Board of the Public Properties Company, a subsidiary of the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations.
Mrs. Kakoullou holds a Master's Degree in International Finance and Banking from Columbia University (SIPA) and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Columbia College.
