Christos Christodoulou was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer and a Member of the Executive Committee of National Bank of Greece in July 2019. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Stopanska Bank A.D. Skopje, National Bank of Greece Cyprus Ltd and Ethniki Insurance Cyprus.
He joined NBG in 2007 and has served the Group in several positions in Greece and abroad. From July 2017 to July 2019 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Executive Member of the Board of Directors of National Bank of Greece Cyprus Ltd, while from January 2015 to July 2017 he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of United Bulgarian Bank A.D. From 2007 to 2014 he served as Financial Controller of NBG's subsidiaries in South East Europe and Africa.
He started his career in 1999 in London with Hacker Young Chartered Accountants where he worked until 2003. From 2003 to 2007 he worked in the Finance Division of Eurobank in Greece.
He graduated from the English School Nicosia and holds a BSc Honors degree in Economics from the University College London. Christos is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).
